In your packet you will find a
School Reading Log” that you will keep at school (orange sheet), and a “Home Reading Log (green sheet) to check off the time you read outside of school. Record your reading time in 15-minute blocks. An adult must initial your log each time you read. Reading of any kind is encouraged and celebrated - as long as you are reading, it counts! As J.K. Rowling said, “if you don’t like to read, you haven’t found the right book.” Want to read to your friends or family, or have them read to you? That counts! Reading to a pet, or your favorite stuffie? You guessed it, that counts! Now for the most important rule - enjoy it. Reading opens worlds. On March 17th, ready-set-READ! IMPORTANT: On March 24th, bring your school log home. With the help of your parents, combine the school & home logs for  the total number of reading blocks in all. Turn in the log, along with your sponsor/pledge sheet to your teacher or front office NO LATER THAN April 3rd.

Special School Reading Days: Monday 3/20: Pajama Day! Just jammies, no stuffies or pillows, and be ready to snuggle into reading. Tuesday 3/21: Wolf wear/Spirit Day (blue and white or wolf wear). Wednesday 3/22:“Read my shirt”: wear a shirt or hat with fun (and appropriate) message. Thursday 3/23: Read Outside Day (wear clothes appropriate for the weather).  Friday 3/24: Flashlight Friday (read by flashlight, everyone encouraged to bring their own).

Also, Ms. Sylvester is keeping the library open to read at all recesses during Tues-Fri of reading week!
